Hair accessory business from home - The Bub Hub

Hi,

I have been pondering that Idea also.

I would recommend making a 1 page website that links you contact details (email- please dont use gmail, or hotmail, or aol, instead to come up with a company name that is original and use that with a .com on the end of it. Eg mariana.L@marianaluky.com). You could use a first name and an initial, followed by the domain name, which is your business name also.

You can link etsy, facebook, ebay, twitter, ravelry, even a blogging post to this one page website.
This Web page, could possess the ability to sell itens for you there, link it to paypal.

If you like blogging (not all businesses have them) you can talk about your inspirations and the quality that you use for your designs.

I highly recommend that you get someone to design a logo, and have this logo on everything.... business cards (they should all have your website on it aswell), emails, letters, flyers, you name it.
Give your business cards to everyone. Even if they dont seem interested at all.
If you would like to sell jewelry at markets, always try to give out a freebie, like a handmade airfreshener with your logo on it, again, you are trying to put yourself out there as much as possible.

Being a handmade business you really have an opportunity to show your customer something thats truely unique, and hand crafted with care. Even the packaging can be really special. People really like to recieve something thats well presented.

I agree with the previous post ... try to stand out.
The website could probably tie into the logo somehow aswell.

These are just some ideas that can make your organisation look bigger than it is. I always cringe when I see people listing their personal email addresses as their companys. Like yahoo mail something or rather.
No, you really want to give the impression that you are a serious company.

Good luck, I hope this helps.
